DATA WHEN ORDERING AND PURCHASING
When you place an order, we collect your order or purchase data.
Additionally, we create a customer account for each customer, where the above data is stored.
We process your data to enable us to handle your order, send you your order, and handle any returns, complaints, and warranty cases. We also process your data to comply with statutory retention obligations.
The legal basis for the aforementioned data processing is the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps according to Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR or on the basis of a legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR.
My account
To place an order with us, you must create an online customer account. We process your data so that you:
- Have an overview of previous orders,
- Get a more comfortable and straightforward shopping experience,
- Can see your personal data, and
- Can track the progress of your orders.

Your contact data and notifications
Your contact data, such as your phone number, mobile number, and/or email address, is solely used for the purpose of communicating with you, for example, to contact you if we have questions regarding your order or your scan.

PAYMENT DATA
We offer payment methods with credit card or debit card. Depending on the type of payment you choose in the order process, we forward the payment data collected at this time to the financial institution responsible for the payment and any payment service provider instructed by us or to the selected payment service for payment processing. Without this payment data and these payment providers, payments and contracts cannot be processed.

DATA PROCESSING FOR DESIGNING YOUR INSOLES
Your birthday
You need to provide your date of birth and weight during the registration process. We use the data in the process to model your custom insoles. Age and weight are some of the parameters that determine the hardness/softness of the insole.
The legal basis for the aforementioned data processing is consent according to Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR.
Competitions and surveys
If you participate in one of our surveys, we use your data for market and opinion research. We use the data solely for internal purposes on an anonymized basis. If surveys are exceptionally conducted anonymously, personal data will only be collected with your consent. Data protection laws do not apply to anonymous surveys.
In such exceptional cases where personal data is collected, the legal basis for the aforementioned data processing is your consent according to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 a) GDPR.
In connection with competitions, we use your data to manage the competition and notify winners. For detailed information, please refer to the terms of participation for the respective competition.

Newsletters ā Klaviyo
If you sign up for one of our newsletters, we use the data you provide with your explicit consent to send the respective newsletter. The newsletter contains current news and information from ZOLESĀ®. The personal newsletter contains interesting offers, trends, promotions, tips, and voluntary opinion polls. Your customer data as well as your purchase and click behavior are analyzed. Data on interests
If you order from us, purchase something from us, or interact with our website, we learn about products, product types, brands, styles, and topics that you are interested in. For example, you can place products on your wish list, search for products, or repeatedly visit a specific area of the online shop. This helps us to permanently improve your shopping experience and make it more customer-friendly, tailored, and personal. The information you provide, along with the information generated automatically, is used to create advertising material tailored to you and your interests. We also use your data in connection with data analysis and market research.

ADVERTISING VIA THIRD PARTIES
We receive information from selected online advertising networks such as Google or Facebook and data providers that carry out promotional activities on our behalf or in cooperation with us (hereinafter referred to as “Advertising Partners”).
The information we receive from Advertising Partners includes information and statistics about demographics (such as age, gender, region), device and access data, and our users’ interests. This information helps us understand our users better, e.g., in connection with customer structure analyses and user segmentation. We only receive aggregated, encrypted data or data that is anonymous to us. We cannot allocate the data to a specific person, and in particular not to a specific user.

For marketing purposes, our website uses so-called re-marketing tags (also known as āFacebook-pixelsā) from the social network Facebook, a service of Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA (āFacebookā). When you visit our website, a connection is established between your browser and a Facebook server through these tags. This way, Facebook receives the information that your IP address has used to access our website. In case personal data is transferred to the USA, Facebook has subjected itself to the EU-US Privacy Shield. Facebook uses this information to provide us with statistical and anonymous data on the general use of our website and to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook ads (āFacebook-Adsā). If you are a member of Facebook and if your privacy settings in Facebook allow it, Facebook can link the information from us to your membership account and use it for targeted linking of Facebook-Ads. You can review and change the privacy settings on your Facebook profile at any time.
Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (āGoogleā). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyze and improve our website based on your user behavior. The data produced in this context may be transferred to and stored on a server in the USA by Google for analysis. If personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has signed up for the EU-US Privacy Shield. However, before usage statistics are analyzed, your IP address is shortened, meaning your identity cannot be traced. For this purpose, Google Analytics has been extended with the code āanonymizeIPā on our website to ensure the anonymized collection of IP addresses. Google Ads
We implement Google Ads, which allows us to use advertising media (known as Google Ads) on external websites to draw attention to our attractive product range. Based on data from the advertising campaigns, we can determine the success of individual advertising measures. By doing so, we pursue an interest in showing you advertising that is of interest to you, making our website more interesting for you, and achieving a fair calculation of advertising costs. The legal basis for the processing of your data is a legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 f) GDPR. YouTube
We have integrated videos on our website that are stored with YouTube and can be played directly from our websites. YouTube is a multimedia service of YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (āYouTubeā), a group company of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (āGoogleā). If personal data is transferred to the USA, Google and its group company YouTube have signed up for the EU-US Privacy Shield. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in the integration of video and image content.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA
We store personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil contractual or statutory obligations for which we have collected the data. After that, we delete the data immediately unless we still require the data for evidence collection according to civil law until the statute of limitations expires or due to statutory retention periods. For documentation purposes, we are obliged to keep contractual data for an additional three years after the end of the year in which the business relationship with you ends. Any claims under the statutory limitation period will be time-barred at the earliest at this time. After this, we may still store some of your data for accounting reasons. We are obliged to do so due to legal documentation obligations under the Danish Commercial Code, Income Tax Act, Banking Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, and Securities Trading Act. The periods for storing documents stipulated therein range from two to ten years.
ACCESS AND COMPLAINTS
You have the right to know what personal data we process about you. You can also object to the use of your data at any time. You can also withdraw your consent to the processing of your data. DATA SECURITY
We maintain up-to-date technical measures to guarantee data security, especially to protect your personal data from risks during data transfers and disclosure to third parties. These are always adapted to the respective techniques. We use Standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to protect the personal data you provide on the website. This encrypts the data you enter.
